St Helen’s Place runs east off Bishopsgate and is equidistant between Lloyd’s of London, The Bank of England, Liverpool Street station and Spitalfields market.
It has been home to The Leatherseller’s Company since 1543 when the two acre site was purchased after the dissolution of the monasteries.
Since then, the buildings have taken a number of different forms, starting as a collection of small lanes and alleyways centred around St Helen’s Church, through to the Georgian style Portland Stone façades which remain in place today.
Situated in a conservation area, 5 St. Helen’s Place is a new building designed by Eric Parry Architects and constructed behind a retained façade. It has been designed to house the new Leathersellers' Livery Hall on the ground and lower floors and provide new, efficient office accommodation on the five floors above.
5 St Helen’s Place provides 23,477 sq ft (IPMS 3) / 22,211 sq ft (NIA) of contemporary grade A office space.
